Assign/Reassign Employees via Loud Mode
This article will walk through four different use cases on how to utilize the Loud mode of the Roster to make multiple assignments/reassignments of the schedule. The feature use cases will include the following:
- Swap Assignments
- Assign a Vacant Demanded Job to an Idle Employee
- Accommodate Employee
- Accommodate Demanded Job
Swap Assignments
1) Select the Employees Roster.
2) Launch the Loud mode.
3) To swap assignments between two employees on the same shift, first click on the assignment of one employee that you wish to reassign to another employee.
Note: Any time a context day or assignment is selected, the highlighted event will display under the Context tab.
4) Then click on the assignment of the desired employee for which the swap will occur.
Note: Every action is logged under Action Log. To undo the previous action before saving, simply click on the Undo button. Repeat as needed.
To edit the swap, click on Edit button next to the desired event in the Action Log. Edit pop up screen allows for adding Assignment Notes, adding Assignment Attributes, and change Assignment Properties (overtime, locked, demand covering).
5) To save it, click on Save button when finished making assignments/reassignments in Loud mode.
Assign a Vacant Demanded Job to an Idle Employee
1) Select the Both Roster.
2) Launch the Loud mode.
3) To assign a vacant demanded job to an idle employee, first click on the demanded assignment from the Jobs roster.
Note: Any time a context day or assignment is selected, the highlighted event will display under the Context tab.
Also, in some instances, if a job can be covered using multiple time segments (that Loud Tool is filtered to via Demand Splitting option), all possible options will be aggregated into one event:
Click on Details to select the desired time segment of the assignment being made:
4) Then click on the idle assignment of the desired employee.
Note: Every action is logged under Action Log. To undo the previous action before saving, simply click on the Undo button. Repeat as needed. To edit the action, click on Edit
button next to the desired event in the Action Log. Edit pop up screen allows for adding Assignment Notes, adding Assignment Attributes, and change Assignment Properties (overtime, locked, demand covering).
5) To save it, click on Save button when finished making assignments/reassignments in Loud mode.
Accommodate Employee
1) Select the Both Roster.
2) Launch the Loud mode.
3) To accommodate an unassigned employee, first click on the vacant day of the desired employee.
Note: Any time a context day or assignment is selected, the highlighted event will display under the Context tab.
4) Then click on the desired assignment of another employee, to which the target employee will be assigned to.
5) While accommodating one employee, another employee becomes unassigned. Assign the employee by clicking on the vacant day of the desired employee and then selecting a vacant demanded job from the Jobs Roster.
Note: Every action is logged under Action Log. To undo the previous action before saving, simply click on the Undo button. Repeat as needed. To edit the action, click on Edit

6) To save it, click on Save button when finished making assignments/reassignments in Loud mode.
Accommodate Demanded Job
1) Select the Both Roster.
2) Launch the Loud mode.
3) To accommodate a vacant demanded job, first click on the desired demanded job.
Note: Any time a context day or assignment is selected, the highlighted event will display under the Context tab.

4) Then click on the desired employee, to which the target job will be assigned to.
5) While accommodating one job, another job becomes vacant. Fill the job by clicking on the vacancy and then selecting an unassigned employee from the Employees Roster.
